“We hired SD Wedding Films to capture both the photos and video of our wedding and were blown away by the finished work. The photos were gorgeous, while the film preserved candid moments, beautiful details, and more of the day than we ever saw ourselves. Jake and Jerry were confident, flexible, communicative, and wonderful with our guests.”

Want to Preserve Even More?

EXPERIENCED THROUGHOUT SAN DIEGO

A Filmmaking Team That Knows San Diego Weddings

With more than a decade of experience and hundreds of weddings captured, our cinematographers have worked throughout San Diego County—from coastal venues and downtown celebrations to North County estates and garden settings. We understand how the region’s light, weather, traffic, venue rules, and varied locations can shape a wedding-day timeline.

That local experience helps us plan thoughtfully, adapt quickly, and work seamlessly alongside your photographer and other wedding vendors. You receive the reliability of an established studio with a filmmaking team that knows San Diego weddings.

Wedding Videography, Explained

From film styles and RAW footage to drone coverage, music, and delivery, find clear answers to the questions couples ask most before booking.

What is the difference between a Highlight Reel, Wedding Film, and Chronicles Film?

Highlight Reels are short, music-driven films without spoken audio. Classic and Timeless Wedding Films incorporate varying levels of personal vows, love letters, officiant remarks, and toast highlights. Chronicles Films preserve a broader portion of the ceremony, speeches, dances, and celebration in a 15–20-minute long-form film.

What is included with every wedding videography collection?

Every core collection includes professional wedding-day coverage, an edited wedding film, Premium RAW Footage, drone footage whenever conditions allow, and delivery through an online cinema gallery. Coverage lengths and final film styles vary by collection.

What is Premium RAW Footage?

Premium RAW Footage preserves the usable clips beyond your finished film—including candid reactions, guest moments, and smaller memories you may otherwise miss. We organize the footage by camera, apply our signature color preset, and sync key moments with professionally recorded audio when available.

Is drone footage guaranteed?

Drone footage is included whenever weather, timing, venue rules, airspace restrictions, and safety conditions allow. Because those factors can change on the wedding day, a drone flight cannot be guaranteed at every event.

How do you record our vows and speeches?

We use dedicated professional audio equipment in addition to the microphones built into our cameras. Depending on the venue and setup, this may include lavalier microphones, recorders connected to the DJ or sound system, and backup audio sources.

Can we choose the music for our wedding film?

Yes. We use properly licensed music and can help guide you toward songs that fit your film. Music availability depends on licensing, and commercially released songs may require an additional licensing fee when available.

Should we add a second cinematographer?

A second cinematographer can be especially helpful for larger weddings, separate getting-ready locations, complex timelines, or couples who want additional angles and coverage. One cinematographer is a great fit for many weddings, so it is not automatically necessary.

Do you offer photography and videography together?

Yes. Photography and videography can be booked through one coordinated creative team, which can help create a smoother timeline, more consistent communication, and fewer vendors competing for the same moments.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes. We regularly serve weddings throughout Southern California and Central Texas, including San Diego, Riverside, Orange County, Los Angeles, Imperial County, Austin, Waco, Dallas–Fort Worth, and surrounding areas. We love going to new places, so let's add your location to the list!

How do we reserve our wedding date?

Start by checking availability through our contact form. Once your collection is selected, your date is officially reserved after the agreement is signed and the required retainer is paid.
